This document contains the full warranty and service terms for Icetubs B.V. consumer products. It is divided into two sections:

Section 1 — Ice Bath Warranty & Service

Covers all Icetubs ice bath models (excluding the ProBath). Includes warranty periods, approved use, frost protection requirements, exclusions, and service procedures for the tub and cooling engine.

Section 2 — Sauna Warranty & Service

Covers the Icetubs Sauna Smart (HUUM 9kW) and Sauna Essential (Harvia 9kW). Includes warranty periods, approved use, heater operation requirements, exclusions, and service procedures.

Both sections cover private use (2-year warranty) and light professional use (6-month warranty). For questions or claims, contact [email protected].

Section 1 — Ice Bath Warranty & Service

These terms outline the warranty coverage for Icetubs Consumer Products (all models excluding the ProBath) used for private and light professional purposes. They ensure safe operation and protect both the customer and Icetubs B.V.

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under EU and UK consumer protection laws (including Directive 2019/771 on the Sale of Goods, Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights, and equivalent UK legislation) and does not affect, limit, or replace those rights. Where this document refers to exclusions, void conditions, or claim windows, these apply to the commercial warranty only and do not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

Important notice for coastal locations:

If your property is located within 20 km of the coast, warranty coverage for corrosion damage does not apply.

Coastal air contains elevated levels of salt and moisture that can accelerate corrosion beyond normal expectations.

Before purchasing, please contact our sales team to discuss suitable options for your environment: [email protected]

1.1 Warranty

  • Private use: 2-year warranty. Manufacturing defects and component failures under normal use (per EU/UK consumer law).
  • Light professional use*: 6-month warranty. Manufacturing defects under commercial or professional use.
  • Consumables (Filters, Aquafinesse, Ozone generator and Water pump) are excluded.
  • To make a claim, provide proof of purchase, a description of the issue, and photos or videos where possible. Reporting timelines and full service requirements are set out in Section 1.4.

*"Light professional use" means use in a commercial setting where the product is not the primary revenue-generating equipment. For example, a small studio, clinic, or office.

1.2 Approved Use for Warranty

Warranty applies when:

  • Usage does not exceed 15 users per day or 3 users per hour.
  • Installed with a grounded electrical setup, proper engine ventilation according to the installation guide, and placed on a level surface.
  • Icetub + Cooling Engine must always be placed somewhere with an ambient temperature range of -5°C – 40°C with the engine on and within a range of 1°C – 40°C with the engine off.
  • The engine must always have water inside when running, with a functional filter installed.
  • Only the approved water treatments for the model are used (AquaFinesse).
  • Filters are replaced with new ones on a monthly basis for private use and on a weekly basis for light professional use, when Icetub is operational.
  • Frost protection measures are followed when ambient temperatures drop:
  • Between -5°C and 1°C: engine is set to automatic mode, no timers, running 24/7.
  • Below -5°C: engine is detached and stored indoors, tub is drained and empty.
  • Icetubs installation guidelines are followed.

1.3 Warranty Exclusions

Warranty is void if any of the following occur:

  • Exceeding the usage limits set out in Section 1.2 (15 users/day, 3 users/hour).
  • Operating in spaces below 1°C or above 40°C with engine off or below -5°C or above 40°C with engine on.
  • Failure to follow frost protection requirements: not running the engine on automatic 24/7 between -5°C and 1°C, or failing to detach the engine and drain the tub when temperatures drop below -5°C.
  • Using any non-approved chemicals (salts, chlorine, magnesium, shock doses, flocculants, or DIY mixtures) might result in corrosion damage and will void your warranty coverage.
  • Damage resulting from improper electrical setup, blocked ventilation, or placement on an uneven floor will void the warranty.
  • The engine is running without water inside and/or without a functional filter installed.
  • Any foreign objects (e.g. glasses, toys) are placed in the Icetub.
  • Corrosion damage due to Coastal Placement (within 20 km of the coast) or damage from fire, flood, theft, pests, or extreme weather voids the warranty.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Consumables: Filters, Aquafinesse, Ozone generator and Water pump.
  • Damage due to Negligence: Damage resulting from improper transport, relocation, or failure to follow installation/operation instructions.
  • External Damage: Flooding, plumbing leaks, or external water ingress (damage originating from outside the unit).
  • Misuse/Aesthetics: Cosmetic discoloration from chemical or mechanical misuse, personal injuries/accidents resulting from product misuse or damage resulting from unauthorized modifications.
  • Natural Wear and Tear: Wood deterioration due to sun and weather exposure.

1.4 Reporting & Service Requirements

  • Consumers should report defects as soon as reasonably possible, and at the latest within two months of discovery. Light professional users must report within 14 days of discovery.
  • Report transport damage within 24 hours of delivery, with photos or videos of the damaged packaging and product.
  • All repairs must be pre-approved by Icetubs and carried out using Icetubs-approved parts. Damage resulting from unauthorised repairs or the use of non-approved parts is not covered by this warranty.
  • Defective parts will be repaired or replaced free of charge under this warranty. After 3 months from the original purchase date, replacements may be provided using refurbished parts of equivalent quality.
  • Icetubs does not send or hire technicians. Depending on the defect, we will either: (a) ship a replacement part directly to you for self-installation, with written instructions and remote support; or (b) arrange free collection of the defective unit or component, repair or replace it, and return it to you. Small components such as sensors, pumps, or filters are typically shipped for self-installation; cooling engines or major components are typically collected for repair or replacement.
  • All warranty claims are reviewed by Icetubs Service to confirm the defect falls within the conditions of this warranty before any action is taken.

Warranty on Replaced Parts

Where Icetubs authorises a repair or replacement under this warranty, the repaired or replaced item carries its own additional warranty period:

  • If a Cooling Engine is replaced: Additional warranty of 24 months on the replaced Cooling Engine from the date of replacement.
  • If a Cooling Engine component is replaced (e.g. compressor, condenser, fan, electrical heater): The Cooling Engine is covered until 36 months from the original purchase date (the original 2-year warranty plus an additional 12 months on the replaced component).
  • Labor costs for removal, replacement, or installation are not covered.

During the 1-Year Extended Warranty Period

(Only applicable if the customer has purchased the extension, bringing total coverage to 3 years.)

The repaired or replaced item is covered for the remainder of the extended warranty, with a minimum of 6 months from the date the repair or replacement is completed.

In practice this means:

  • If the failure occurs in the first half of year 3, the remaining warranty already exceeds 6 months, so no additional time is added.
  • If the failure occurs in the second half of year 3, coverage on the repaired or replaced item is extended so that it runs for at least 6 months from the repair date.

Example — Extended Warranty (Year 3) in practice:

Purchase date: 1 January 2023  |  Extended warranty expires: 31 December 2025

Scenario A — Failure on 1 April 2025 (first half of year 3):

Remaining warranty at time of repair = ~9 months (until 31 Dec 2025).

This already exceeds 6 months → no extra time added.

→ Replaced part is covered until 31 December 2025.

Scenario B — Failure on 1 October 2025 (second half of year 3):

Remaining warranty at time of repair = ~3 months (until 31 Dec 2025).

This is less than 6 months → coverage is extended by the shortfall.

→ Replaced part is covered until 1 April 2026 (6 months from repair date).

These additional periods apply solely to the repaired or replaced item, not to the rest of the product.

The 1-year extended warranty does not extend, renew, or otherwise affect the original product warranty period or any purchased extended warranty term as a whole.

The 1-year extended warranty does not affect statutory rights you may have as a consumer under EU or UK law.

1.5 Liability Disclaimer

Icetubs B.V. is not liable for property damage, water damage, or personal injury that occurs as a direct or indirect result of improper use, negligence, or failure to follow the operational requirements set out above.

This warranty excludes indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use or economic loss. Nothing in this section limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable EU or UK consumer law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and liability under the EU Product Liability Directive or its UK equivalent.

For full legal terms regarding liability and purchase conditions, please refer to our General Terms and Conditions.

1.6 Applicable Law & Disputes (EU/UK)

This warranty is governed by Dutch law. However, if you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, your rights are protected under the applicable consumer law of your country of residence.

If a dispute arises, you may bring legal proceedings in either:

  • the competent courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands, or
  • the courts of your country of residence within the EU or UK, as permitted by applicable consumer protection laws.

You may also access Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms in your country of residence under EU Directive 2013/11/EU on consumer ADR, or the equivalent UK framework.

1.7 Warranty Transferability

Icetubs B.V. products are built to last, and we support the circular economy. This warranty is tied to the product's serial number and is transferable under the following conditions:

  • Transfer of Coverage: The remaining balance of the original Warranty Period may be transferred to a second owner, provided the product remains within its original country of delivery.
  • Validation: To validate a warranty claim, the new owner must provide the original proof of purchase (invoice) from Icetubs B.V. or an authorized dealer.
  • No Extension: A transfer of ownership does not extend or restart the Warranty Period; it only allows the new owner to utilize the remaining time left on the original 2-year (Private) or 6-month (Professional) term.
  • Notification: The original purchaser must notify [email protected] of the change in ownership before the transfer takes effect. The warranty transfer is only valid once Icetubs has recorded the change. Warranty claims submitted by a new owner without a recorded transfer on file may be declined.
  • Condition at Transfer: Icetubs B.V. is not responsible for damage incurred during the decommissioning, transport, or re-installation of the unit by the secondary owner.

  • Use of any non-approved cleaning chemicals, additives, or substances on the stones or interior surfaces. This may cause corrosion or material damage and will void warranty coverage.
  • Damage resulting from improper electrical setup, electrical connection carried out by a non-certified person, blocked or insufficient ventilation, or placement on an uneven floor.
  • Use of non-approved sauna stones.
  • Coastal placement (within 20 km of the coast), or damage from fire, flood, theft, pests, or extreme weather.
