Icetubs ProBath

Easy maintenance, more time for your cold therapy

At Icetubs, we understand that maintenance shouldn't be a hassle. That's why our Icetubs are designed for effortless care, from quick water changes to minimal filter upkeep. We’ve engineered every aspect of our Icetubs to require the least amount of effort, so you can spend more time focusing on your cold therapy and less on cleaning. Whether it’s emptying, refilling, or deep cleaning, maintaining your Icetub is simple and efficient—because we believe that quality time should be spent in the tub, not maintaining it.

Maintain water quality

Keep the Icetubs Engine™ running

Ensure that the Icetubs Engine™ is always on. The engine's built-in ozonator continuously purifies the water, preventing bacterial growth. If the engine is off, bacteria can develop, especially as the water temperature rises. Only turn off the engine if you plan to empty the tub for long periods (e.g., during vacations)

Regularly replace the filter

A clean filter is essential for water flow and cleanliness. Replace the filter monthly, or more frequently if usage is high. A clogged filter can restrict water flow, potentially damaging the cooling system. When replacing the filter, you don’t need to empty the tub. Simply twist the old filter off and attach the new one.

Refresh with AquaFinesse

Test your water regularly with strips to monitor its quality. Depending on climate and usage, water conditions can vary. Add the recommended amount of Aqua Finesse cleanser based on your test results to maintain a balanced water chemistry.

Refresh the water

We've partnered with AquaFinesse to provide a water care solution specifically designed for Icetubs and ice baths. AquaFinesse makes water maintenance simple and chemical-free, keeping your water clean, balanced, and safe for use. Regularly adding the recommended amount of AquaFinesse ensures that your Icetub stays in perfect condition, allowing you to enjoy your cold therapy with minimal effort.

Cover your Icetub

When not in use, always cover your Icetub with the Thermo cover that is provided with your Icetubs. This prevents debris, such as leaves and pollen, from contaminating the water. When not using the cover the chances of larger particles to cause the filter to be blocked and therefore low or no water flow will enter the cooling engine which can cause damage or complete breakage of the Icetubs Engine™.

Protect your Icetub during the cold season

Winter months require special attention to protect your Icetub and ensure it’s ready for use whenever you need it.

Protect your Icetubs Engine™ in freezing conditions

The Icetubs Engine™ is built tough, but when temperatures drop below -5°C, we recommend disconnecting the cooling unit and storing it indoors to prevent freezing. If you prefer to keep the engine outside, make sure it's set to Automatic Mode. This setting heats the water to 3°C, preventing the unit from freezing while maintaining functionality during the winter.

Keep your Icetub ready for winter

To protect the Icetub itself, use the caps provided to plug any openings when the engine is removed. This allows your tub to stay functional throughout the winter months, ready for your next cold therapy session.

Keep your Icetub cool in hot weather

Hot summer weather can put extra strain on your Icetub's cooling system. With a few simple steps, you can ensure your Icetub continues to perform at its best.

Shield your Icetub from the sun

Direct sunlight increases the cooling engine's workload, leading to higher energy consumption. To reduce this strain, place your Icetub in a shaded area. This not only helps the engine but also prolongs the life of the wood, as prolonged exposure to the sun can alter its color.

Indoor placement considerations

If using your Icetub indoors, avoid placing it near saunas, steam rooms, or other heat sources. Excessive heat can wear down the unit over time, reducing its efficiency.

Account for humidity and salt

If your Icetub is located in a humid or salty environment, like a seaside residence, the materials may be affected over time. Ensure the cooling engine has enough space to release air and collect new air efficiently. If you have any concerns about your specific location, our sales team can provide tailored advice.

Keep your Icetub looking its best

Our Icetubs are designed with easy maintenance in mind, so you can focus more on your cold therapy and less on upkeep. Cleaning your Icetub is a simple process that requires minimal effort.

Effortless emptying and refilling

Emptying and refilling your Icetub typically takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on your water pressure. While this process is straightforward, we recommend doing a deep clean whenever you refresh the water.

Deep cleaning for long-lasting quality

Deep cleaning is your chance to give your Icetub some extra care. Use stainless steel cleansers to clean the tub thoroughly, removing any buildup that might have accumulated. After cleaning, apply oil to the wood. This not only keeps your Icetub looking pristine but also extends the life of the materials, ensuring your Icetub remains a centerpiece for years to come.

Why deep cleaning matters

Regular deep cleaning preserves both the aesthetics and functionality of your Icetub. By maintaining the stainless steel and treating the wood, you protect your investment and keep your cold therapy sessions as effective and enjoyable as possible.

How do I change the filters in my ProBath?

To change the filters:

  1. Remove the skimmer from the overflow tank.
  2. Turn the filters to the left to remove ("lefty loosey").
  3. Turn them to the right to install ("righty tighty").

This process takes only a few seconds and can be done with the cooling engine on.

How often do I need to change the filters?

To keep the water fresh:

  1. Change the filters every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage.
  2. Use our Always Blue package, a chlorine and salt-free product that is safe for the skin and does not damage the stainless steel.
  3. Regularly test the water with test strips and follow the instructions for adding the cleaning product.

The cooling engine also treats the water with ozone gas to maintain freshness. Do not use chlorine or salt solutions as they damage the stainless steel.

How long does it take to drain and fill up my ProBath?

Our patented overflow system allows the ProBath to drain and refill automatically within two to three hours, cooling the water to 3ºC. You do not need to be present during this process.

How do I clean my Probath?

Use a stainless steel cleaner for the inside of the bath. Avoid chlorine, salts, or other corrosive chemicals as they can damage the stainless steel.

How safe is the ProBath?

The ProBath is designed for commercial use with safety in mind:

  • Users cannot access the cooling engine or overflow tank.
  • Always use the ProBath under the supervision of someone over 18 years old.

Do not use the ProBath alone, especially at temperatures below 5ºC.
